01 / About

Connecting Security Operations With Insurance Intelligence

RiskPulse is being developed as a multi-sided InsurTech platform that transforms operational security telemetry into actionable underwriting intelligence. Instead of relying only on static or historical indicators, RiskPulse is designed to provide a more current view of premises-level security performance.

The underwriting side

Largely static inputs

Commercial insurance underwriting often relies on relatively static information such as postcode crime statistics, historical claims and proposal forms. These inputs say little about how a specific premises is performing operationally today.

Postcode crime statisticsHistorical claimsProposal forms

The security operations side

Operational data generated daily

Security providers generate operational information every day, which can contain valuable signals about changing operational risk.

Insurers

Receive continuously updated underwriting intelligence designed to support risk selection, pricing and portfolio decisions.

MGAs

Gain underwriting intelligence, API access and portfolio reporting capabilities.

Brokers

Can use evidence-based risk information to support insurance placement, client discussions and renewals.

Security Providers

Contribute verified operational telemetry and gain access to analytics and a revenue-sharing opportunity.

SMEs

Can benefit from clearer, evidence-based representation of their security performance.

Founder, RiskPulse Ltd.

Education

  • BSc Information Technology — Punjab Technical University, 2011
  • Master of Library and Information Science — NIMS University, Jaipur, 2015
  • MBA — University of West London, 2024

The business plan is grounded in the founder’s combination of data-science expertise and direct operational experience in private security.

Professional background

  • 5 years and 8 months as a Senior Data Scientist at GlobalLogic / Hitachi Group
  • SAS programming, SQL, statistical analysis, data validation, data governance, data modelling, business intelligence and data engineering
  • Subsequently moved into UK private-security operations and currently works in mobile patrol/security operations with keyholding responsibilities in London

“This combination of data science and frontline security operations provides the foundation for RiskPulse: understanding both how operational security data is generated and how it can be structured, validated and analysed for underwriting intelligence.”

03 / How It Works

How RiskPulse Turns Security Activity Into Underwriting Intelligence

  1. STEP 01

    Security Activity Happens

A security provider records an operational event through its normal operational system.

Example: a mobile patrol officer identifies an unsecured shutter during a site check.

  2. STEP 02

    Consent & Permissions

RiskPulse uses a consent-driven model requiring three permissions: premises operator authority; a contributor agreement between the security provider and RiskPulse; and permission to release the specific risk assessment to a named insurer, broker or MGA.

No premises-level output is released without the required permissions.

  3. STEP 03

    Secure Data Ingestion

Operational telemetry is securely transmitted to RiskPulse.

  4. STEP 04

    Normalisation

Different security providers may record similar events in different formats. RiskPulse is designed to convert these records into a common taxonomy with standard event classes, severity bands and required fields.

  5. STEP 05

    Aggregation

Events are aggregated across the relevant observation window and contributors covering the premises.

  6. STEP 06

    Signal Extraction

The analytical system examines frequency, severity, trends, response times, behavioural patterns and changes in operational risk.

RiskPulse is designed to assess direction of travel, not simply a static snapshot.

  7. STEP 07

    Confidence Measurement

Confidence is influenced by data coverage, completeness, observation window, data recency and contributor coverage.

  8. STEP 08

    Risk Intelligence

Produce a premises-level risk signal, risk trajectory, confidence measure and supporting evidence.

  9. STEP 09

    Underwriting Evidence

The Evidence Builder creates understandable reports and evidence packs.

  10. STEP 10

    Outcome Feedback

Where verified claims and other outcomes become available, those outcomes can feed back into the learning process.

04 / Market Pricing

Market Pricing

RiskPulse follows a value-based B2B pricing strategy, with pricing aligned to the underwriting value, coverage and analytical capability delivered.

The Underwriting Gap

UK commercial crime and property underwriting still relies heavily on periodic declarations, static questionnaires and historical loss records. Real operational security behaviour between renewals is largely invisible.

An Untapped Data Layer

Manned guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding, alarm response and remote monitoring generate continuous operational records every night. That activity is recorded for operational purposes, not underwriting purposes.

The RiskPulse Position

RiskPulse is designed to sit between the security sector and the insurance market — normalising consented operational telemetry into explainable, premises-level risk intelligence.

Pricing rationale

Why Value-Based Pricing?

RiskPulse is not positioned as a low-cost generic SaaS tool. It is designed as a premium B2B underwriting intelligence platform because its value is tied to underwriting outcomes rather than seat count. The UK insurance market already invests in analytics, data enrichment and underwriting technology, and RiskPulse is intended to sit within that category.
